Five killed on way to car purchase

Chennai, Dec 19 (UNI) Five people, were killed and one person sustained injuries when the car in which they were treavelling collided with a Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus in Erode district today.

Reports received here said all the victims were passengers of the car.

The incident occurred when the car driver tried to overtake a parked tanker lorry and ended up colliding with the bus coming from the opposite direction at Mettukadai under Erode Taluk police station on the Erode-Perunthurai highway.

The injured was admitted to Erode Government Hospital.
