Jammu, Dec 19 (UNI) Two jawans of border security force (BSF), who had deserted from their Battalion in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on December 13 have been traced in their houses in Uttar Pradesh, official sources here said today.
Sources said that the jawans went missing after being denied leave by the BSF authorities to meet their family members.
They have been identified as Sumit Kumar, resident of Hapur, (Ghaziabad) and Prathma Anand, resident of Kanpur, posted in BSF's 58 Battalion, headquartered at Breri.
The duo went missing from their Battalion on December 13 and a report was lodged by the BSF with Nowshera police on December 16.
The BSF jawans have been asked to return to their duties.
