CR to operate power and traffic blocks for four days

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) The 1205 hours railway service between Khopoli and Karjat and 1305 hours service between Karjat and Khopoli will remain suspended for four days in view of the power and traffic blocks on the Vanagani and Palashdhari suburban sections of the Central Railway.

The block will be effective from today till December 22, for the erection of over-head equipment on the route.

The Central Railway has also announced rescheduling of 1332 hours Khopoli local for Karjat to 1322 hours during the block period, besides partially cancelling four other local services.

According to a Central Railway release, Karjat local leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal station (CST) at 1044 hours will remain cancelled between Ambernath and Karjat stations. Similarly, Karjat local leaving CST station at 1117 hours will remain cancelled between Badlapur and Karjat stations.

Meanwhile, CST local, leaving Karjat at 1216 hours will remain cancelled between Karjat and Badlapur stations. And CST local leaving Karjat at 1315 hours will also remain cancelled between Karjat and Ambernath stations.

In addition, 1014 Coimbatore-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will be regulated at Lonavala station, the release added.
