Athena launches new service for SMB
Chennai, Dec 19 (UNI) IT infrastructure service provider, Athena Info Consulting today launched its 'Remote Infrastructure Management Services' from its state-of-the-art network operation centre here.
Talking to newspersons here, Company Founder and CEO Rangarajan Sriraman said Athena's focus on SMB (small and medium business) has been receving recognitiion in the market since the segment requires such services with a consultative approach.
"This helps small companies to make informed decisions on technology investments," he added.
The need for outsourcing activity in the SMB market (and the consequent awareness) was being driven by service, quality and contractual simplicity rather than cost.
"A number of start-ups intially focus on PC and office network support, with extensions to cover server management, security, e-mail administration and website support," he added.
Mr Rangarajan said remote management of IT infrastructure has evolved into a management strategy which leverages existing investments with increased service levels of end-users, improved end-user response time through proactive management, reduced costs and increased flexibility.
"Currently,
we
have
ten
customers,
which
is
likely
to
increase
in
this
current
fiscal," he
said
adding
"we
also
plan
to
double
our
revenue
from
the
current
Rs
one
crore."
