Hyderabad, Dec 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Law and Courts, Technical Education and ITI Minister R Chenga Reddy today refuted a section of media reports on his opposition to the construction of a 'Railway Underbridge' at Pottur from where he was elected as a MLA.
Addressing the press here, Mr Reddy said "the local people have submitted a representation to me seeking to stop the proposed Railway Underbridge works in the town." Based on the representation, he wrote a letter to the Railway authorites to study the 'technical feasibility' of the proposed bridge.
Alleging some Railway authorities and political parties were politicising the issue, he said, "I never opposed the construction of the Railway Underbridge and limited use subway in the town as reported in a section of media." Stating he never faced such allegations in his 40-year-political-life, Mr Reddy said he brought the issue to the notice of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad by writing a letter, recently.
