Air India IC 889 makes emergency landing
Kolkata, Dec 19 (UNI) The Delhi-Guwahati-Imphal bound Air India flight IC 889 today made an emergency landing at the NSCBI airport at 1345 hours.
The airport authorities here said the flight was carrying 136 passengers.
Earlier, the flight had failed to land at Guwahati after it developed a snag in the hydraulic syssem and hence decided to fly to Kolkata.
After landing at the Kolkata Airport, the aircraft had to be towed from the runway to the parking bay near the double street terminal after which the passengers were taken off.
Among the passengers, was the Mizoram Governor.
The flight had been grounded for repair and about 98 passengers bound for Guwahati were accomodated in other flights.
