Puducherry, Dec 19 (UNI) AIADMK state secretary A Anbazhagan, MLA, today took strong exception to the administration's failure to include his name in the invitation for the National Science Exhibition to be inaugurated by President Prathibha Patil in his Ouppalam constituency on December 21.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the Director of Education department Ragesh Chandra had written a letter to him seeking his cooperation to participate in the exhibition.
However, his name was not printed in the invitation, eventhough as per protocol, the name of the legislator representing the constituency should be there, he pointed out.
Mr Anbazhagan, who sought Lt Governor Mukut Mithi's intervention in this regard alleged that the governemnt had ignored the people of the constituency and they would register their protest either on the day of President's visit or a day before.
Lambasting the government for its failure to implement several schemes, the AIADMK leader demanded that 25 kg rice be given as a relief to the poor people affected by rain.
