60-year-old woman murdered

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) A 60-year-old woman was stabbed to death by unidentified persons at Santacruz here.

Police said three unidentified persons had gained entry into the house of Khatijabegum Abdul Lalif Sheikh last evening, masquerading as her relatives. She was alone at that time, police said.

The three, thereafter, assaulted her with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. The woman died on the spot, police said. The motive behind the crime has not yet been ascertained, police added.

Meanwhile, another murder was reported in the metropolis. A security guard, Shanklal Vishwakarma (20), was killed by unidentified persons.

The body was dumped in the debris near Anand Nagar in Mulund here, police said.
