Lucknow, Dec 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has instituted UP Madarsa Shiksha Parishad.

Jaunpur's Haji Rizwanul Haq has been made the Parishad chairman, official sources said here today.

Shia and Sunni madarsa managers and principals have been given due representation in the body.

Minorities welfare department secretary Dr M A A Khan said this was the first time such a Parishad had been instituted in UP.

The minorities welfare director would be the vice-chairman of the new body.

Besides, Maulana Abdul Ali Faaruki, Maulana Manzar Sadiq Zaidi, Maulana Sayyed Mohd Dildar Ali, Maulana Mohd Mustaq Ali, Maulana Taqi Raza and Ghiasuddin Nadvi have been made its members.
