Two injured in violence in Kumarsain constituency in HP
Shimla, Dec 18 (UNI) Two activists of a rebel Congress candidate were injured in a clash with Congress activists in Kumarsain Assembly constituency of Shimla district from where Himachal Pradesh's Power Minister Viday Stokes is contesting elections.
Two people, identified as Narender Sharma and Rajiv, suffered minor injuries following their clash with Congress activists at Chanavag village in Sunni sub-division of this district on Sunday, polie today said.
The constituency is witnessing a triangular contest between the Congress, its rebel candidate Pramod Sharma and BJP's Bhagat Ram Chuahan, who was placed third in the last election, which was won by Ms Stokes.
The activists of both the candidates have registered complaints against each other with the Dhalli Police, accusing each other of threatening and beating their campaigning party workers.
The Police said a case had been registered and investigations were on.
