Kozhikode, Dec 18 (UNI) Desperate for a much needed victory, lowly-placed Sporting clube de Goa would make all out attack when they take on Viva Kerala in the sixth round of the I-league at the Corporation Stadium here tomorrow.
Talking to newspersons here, coach Clifford Chukwama said his side would do their best to clinch a victory against the Kerala side, as a win was necessary to survive in the league.
Citing the performance of Viva, who had notched up eight points by defeating Mohun Bagan and Salgaocar and drawing with Mahindra United and Churchil Brothers, he said, ''We came to know that they are doing well but never played with them in the past.'' Mr Chukwama said the team ironed out its deficiencies and was well prepared to take on the challenges, despite the absence of captain Philip Gomes and forward Wilson Gomes, who were injured.
Defeated earlier by Churchil Brothers, Dempo United the consolation for the runners-up team in the 2004-05 National Football League came in the way of two draws against Mohun Bagan and Salgaocar, taking them to the bottom of the chart.
Viva Coach A M Sreedharan said his team was aiming for full points against the Goan side.
Stating that the team members were in an upbeat mood after their 3-1 victory against Salgaocar here on December 15, he said the players would maintain the tempo.
