Hassan, Karnataka, Dec 18 (UNI) A city court today permitted continuance of shooting of the controversial Kannada film 'Mukhya Mantri I Love You', after hearing a petition that alleged that it contained derogatory scenes showing the family of former Prime Minister H D Devegowda and his family in poor light.

The First Principal District sessions court Judge Mr Srinivas, in his interim order, allowed the continuation of the shooting of the movie, but instructed that the producers of the cinema to see that the image of the former prime minister H D Deve Gowda and his family members is not hurt.

Mr Diwakar, an advocate and a Janata Dal(S) activist, had filed the petition alleging that some scenes in the cinema depicted Mr Gowda's family in bad light and sought stay on the shooting.

Veteran actor Loknath was donning a role which purportedly referred to former prime minister H D Deve Gowda. The cinema was being produced by Ravi Belagere, a senior journalist.

Mr Belagere, had contended before the court that it did not have any such scenes and he had no intention to defame Mr Gowda or his family.
