Raje govt decides to forward Chopra report to the centre

Jaipur, Dec 18 (UNI) The state Cabinet today decided to forward the Chopra Committee report on the Gujjar's demand for ST status to the Centre.

State Helath Minister Digamber Singh told mediapersons, after a cabinet meeting that the state government has also decided to constitute a three member ministerial committee under the chairmanship of BJP MP Ramdas Agarwal to look into the recommendation of a special package to the people living in deprived backward and remote areas close to forest and hills.

The committee comprises Education Minister Ghanshayam Tiwari education minister, Mr Singh himself and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Madan Dilawar.

The report will be submitted to the state government before the next budget session of the assembly.
