Modi, future in balance, to attend NDC meeting
Gandhinagar, Dec 18 (UNI) Even as his political future hangs in the balance, Mr Narendra Modi will pay a two-day visit to New Delhi from tomorrow to attend the meetings of the National Development Council and the Chief Ministers on Internal Security the next day.
An official release said here today Mr Modi will express his ideas and thoughts on the two subjects at the two meetings, to be presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Arjun Modhwadia said in Ahmedabad that Mr Modi's attending the NDC meeting slated for tomorrow is improper.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Modhwadia said the Gujarat Chief Minister by attending the NDC meet will be influencing the 11th plan allocations for the state. When there are only a few days left for the outcome of the Assembly results and a new government to take over, it is not proper for Mr Modi to attend the meeting, Mr Modhwadia said, according to a release.
