Panaji, Dec 18 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will talk to his Maharashtra counterpart Vilasrao Deshmukh on construction of the disputed dam at Veridi on the inter-state border on Mahdai river.
Interacting with mediapersons here today, he said, he would meet Mr Deshmukh during the meeting of chief ministers in Delhi day after tomorrow.
The question of initiating a dialogue with Karnataka on the construction of the dam, which has been objected to by Goa through a petition in the Supreme Court, does not arise at the moment due to the current political situation in that state.
The Goa government has placed evidence and information before the Supreme Court that despite the matter being pending before it, work on the dam was underway in Karnataka.
Meanwhile, Water Resources Minister Filip Neri Rodrigues said he would submit a memorandum to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tomorrow in Delhi on the Mahdai issue during the NDC meet.
