Srinagar, Dec 18 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Bank today organised the public screening of Haj proceedings live from the holy city of Makkah at two different places here.
The bank had erected two huge tents with big screens and adequate seating arrangements at Sher-i-Kashmir Municipal Park near Polo View and a public park near the shrine of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Geelani, also known as Dastgeer Sahib, at Khanyar in the old city.
A large number of Muslims thronged the venues to watch live the Haj proceedings on large screens installed at the two places.
The bank also provided light refreshment to the viewers on the occasion. The live screening would continue for next two days also.
The people in general have hailed the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank and were happy with the arrangements.
The bank had for the first time installed huge screens at different venues in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir last year for the people to watch live proceedings of the annual Haj pilgrimage from the holy city of Makkah.
