Chennai, Dec 18 (UNI) Condemning India's reported decision to send a team of military experts and defence officials to Sri Lanka to ''assist its attacks against Tamils,'' Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko today appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to stop forthwith any form of military assistance or guidance to the island nation.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, a copy of which was made available to the media here, he said some of the top level Indian officials have been working hand-in-glove with the Lankan Government, ''making misinformation campaign and menacious guidance to India.'' Mr Vaiko said ''if the Indian Government continues the supply of arms and other logistics support like communication help and military guidance, it will amount to sowing the seeds of rancour, anger and despair in the minds of Tamil people in the long run, which may not be visible at present.'' The Centre would be put in the dock for the loss of life of every Tamil in the island and for every drop of Tamil blood in the ongoing military confrontation between the Lankan Government and the Tamils, he said.

''With agony and anguish, I am writing this letter to register my strongest condemnation against the reported decision of India to send a team of military experts and defence officials to Sri Lanka to give all assistance and advice for their diabolical genocidal military attacks against the Tamils,'' he said.
