India, Mauritius hold JCM, sign MOU

New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) India and Mauritius today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for establishing an Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Trade in Mauritius.

The MOU was signed by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Mauritian Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Cooperation, Madan Murlidhar Dulloo, in Port Louis on the sidelines of the 10th Indo-Mauritian Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) today, an External Affairs Ministry spokesman said here.

Mr Mukherjee who co-chaired the JCM alongwith Mauritian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Ramakrishna Sithanen, also held discussions on regional and international situation and strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

The External Affairs Minister called on the Mauritian Deputy Prime Minister before attending the JCM.
