Heavy rains likely in Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Pune, Dec 18 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu, while heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Kerala.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, and coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Northeast monsoon has been vigorous in Tamil Nadu. Heavy rains have occurred at many places in Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Cold wave conditions prevailed in Haryana and in some parts of Rajasthan and at isolated places in Bihar, Punjab and Chattisgarh.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and in remaining parts of Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Bihar and Chattisgarh. They were below normal in some parts of Uttarakhand, south Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and south interior Karnataka. They were above normal in some parts of Konkan, Goa, north Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
