Chennai, Dec 18 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ruling DMK President M Karunanidhi today said a conference of the party's women's wing will be held soon following the huge success of the youth wing meet in Tirunelveli.

In an epistle to party cadres, the Dravidian patriarch said the conference organised by youth wing President and Local Administration Minister M K Stalin won the acclaim of all, not only in the state and the country, but world over.

The youth wing conference would be followed by conferences and seminars by the women's wing and other wings of the party and announcements to this effect would be made soon, he said.

Mr Karunanidhi commended the media for its unbiased reports about the success of the conference and for publishing pictures about the huge turn out, which ''shook'' the southern Tirunelveli town, the venue of the two day conference held on December 15 and 16.

Recalling that he has written as many as 25 epistles to partymen under two captions ''Ilainjargalukku Vazhi viduvom'' (Let us pave way for the youths) and ''Thirumbipar'' (Turn back), preparing the youths for the conference, the 84-year-old DMK stalwart said the pain he took for penning the letters did not go in vain as the conference turned out to be a huge success.

His only regret was that two police constables and three party cadres had lost their lives in road accidents. Except for this everything pleased him and he was a happy man after the conference, he said.
