171 cross sides at Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch

Jammu, Dec 18: A total of 171 passengers crossed sides at the Chakkan-da-Bagh at Line of Control (LoC) when it opened after a fortnight, in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said today.

The sources said the LoC point opened yesterday and 93 passengers crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), including 25 fresh Indian visitors while 68 were PoK returnees.

Meanwhile, 78 persons crossed over to this side into the Indian Territory including 51 PoK visitors and 27 residents of Jammu and Kashmir, who returned after meeting their relatives in PoK.

SDM Hazira and Guftar Choudhary from Pakistan side while Matloob Khan, GM DIC Poonch and Mohd Hussain Kohli (Revenue Authority) from Indian side were deployed at the LoC point to facilitate the passengers travelling to either sides.
