Kiwi lacks proper marketing network
Himachal
Pradesh,
Dec

:
Growers
of
Kiwi
in
Himachal
Pradesh,
also
known
as
Chinese
gooseberry,
are
complaining
of
lack
of
proper
marketing
network.
Ever
since
the
fruit
was
imported
from
New
Zealand
over
two
decades
ago,
many
farmers
diversified
into
cultivating
Kiwi.
At
one
time,
the
fruit
was
sold
at
more
than
rupees
100
for
a
kilogram.
With
fall
in
demand,
today
it
is
fetching
just
around
rupees
10
-
30
for
a
kilogram.
