Theft case suspect commits suicide while in police custody
Akola, Maharashtra, Dec 17 (UNI) A 33-year-old man, arrested in a theft case, allegedly committed suicide while in police custody here.
Santosh Tukaram Ghode was arrested on December 10 and had been remanded in police custody.
He had complained of high blood pressure following which he was admitted to the general hospital here.
However, while undergoing treatment at the hospital, Ghode had stabbed himself on the abdomen with a broken glass bottle despite the presence of police guards. Ghode succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
