Presidential award for Tata Steel, Bokaro division
Kolkata, Dec 17 (UNI) West Bokaro division of Tata Steel, a recipient of Environment Management System ISO-14001 (first in coal industries), was awarded the second prize of National Energy Conservation Award, 2007.
The award, for the second consecutive year, received by division's General Manager A K Ojha from President Pratibha Patil at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, was in acknowledgement of its efforts in energy conservation in mining sector, company sources said today.
West Bokaro division is fully mechanized Eco-Friendly open cast mines producing 5.5 mt raw coal per year.
