Imphal, Dec 17: A five-member political delegation from Manipur is in New Delhi to urge the Delimitation Commission and the Prime Minister for a status quo in the state Assembly seats.

Officail sources said here today that the delegation will demand to exempt Manipur from the ongoing delimitation process.

The five-member delegation includes President of Manipur People's Party (MPP), the BJP unit president and others.

The political parties and state Assembly have resolved to demand status quo as the delimitation process was based on faulty census report of 2001, the delegation alleged.
