Junior doctors end strike
Indore, Dec 17 (UNI) Junior doctors of the Indore Medical College today ended strike and returned to work following ordering of a magisterial inquiry in police excesses.
Junior Doctors' Association (JDA) President Amogh Nayak said the district administration has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the matter. Besides, it has assured that FIR registered against students would be cancelled.
Health facilities at the Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital had been paralysed due to the strike.
The strike was called on December 15 in protest against police baton charging and registering of case against junior doctors following clash between two groups of hostellers during a cultural programme at college premises a night before.
Junior doctors were demanding withdrawal of case against them and action against guilty policemen.
