Kochi, Dec 17(UNI) The Kerala High Court comprising Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Justice T R Ramachandran today issued a notice to the Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO) after perusing the report of the retired High Court judge, R Bhaskaran, who has been appointed by the Court as Ombudsman to look after the affairs of the Travancore Devaswom Board.
The Ombudsman report said an agreement was executed between the Travancore Devaswom Board and SIDCO for delivery at pamba godown 30 lakh eco-friendly Containers with lids for packing of Aravana Prasadam in daily instalments of 60,000 numbers from December 12.
But only 1,35,000 Containers were supplied and except 30,000 Containers, used for filling Aravana, the other Containers were found suitable.
The report said it was shocking to notice the parting of Rs 1.75 crore, without ensuring the supply of quality Containers.
It is necessary for the Court to issue a show-cause notice to SIDCO, as to why they should not be directed to redeposit either the whole or substantial portion of the advance amount received from the board immediately, the report added.
The court accepted the report,isued notice to SIDCO and posted the case to December 18.
