Cement manufacturers to invest Rs 50,000 cr to increase production
New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) To cater to the growing demand of cement in the country, the Indian Cement Manufacturers Association (ICMA) today said it will invest Rs 50,000 crores to increase its production capacity.
''We will be investing Rs 50,000 crores in the next three years and produce additional 110 million tonnes on a base of 165 millon tonnes,'' said the Association President H M Bangur.
Mr Bangur said presently cement manufacturers are operating their plant at 95 per cent of their capacity.
