Body recovered, Hizb ultra arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 17 (UNI) Security forces recovered a body and arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant in the Kashmir valley overnight.
A police spokesman said the body of Mohammad Iqbal Kakroo, a resident of Pampore in Pulwama district, was recovered from Bonamsar in the Sonawar area here today.
Police have initiated proceedings under section 174 in this regard.
A defence spokesman said troops of 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 162 Infantry Battalion (TA) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in a joint operation launched a cordon and search operation at General area Gutungu in Awantipora area of south Kashmir today.
During the search operation, a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, identified as Maqbool Gujjar, was arrested, he added.
