Hyderabad, Dec 17 (UNI) Police have intensified combing operations in the border areas of Andhra Pradesh, suspecting that the 'extremists' who escaped from the Dantewada jail in Chhattisgarh yesterday may infiltrate into the state.

Police sources said they were preparing a list of the escaped 'extremists', who had 'strong' links with the banned naxal groups and arrested naxals in the state.

The state intelligence was in constant touch with the Chhattisgarh police after the incident. The police had received information on most of them from the Chhattisgarh police.

Meanwhile, combing operations were intensified at Nallamala forest, Andhra-Orissa and Chhattisgarh border.

State Director General of Police (DGP) SSP Yadav reviewed the situation with top police officials and enquired about the security arrangements at the border areas to prevent the naxals from entering the state.
