Soni to inaugurate tourism convention

Ambika
Soni
will
inaugurate
the
Sixth
Annual
Convention
of
the
Adventure
Tour
Operators
Association
of
India
(ATOAI)
here
this
evening.
On
the
occasion,
Soni
will
release
a
special
30
second
television
commercial
on
adventure
tourism
and
also
release
the
report
on
Incredible
India
campaign
during
2007.
The convention titled 'Adventure Tourism: The Next Step" will see participation of national and international experts in the adventure travel segment. Adventure travel is one of the important segments of the travel industry. The Ministry of Tourism is keen in developing interest in adventure travel both for the domestic and international travellers.
This convention, considered as the single largest forum for promoting adventure tourism, will explore the latest marketing trends to upscale adventure tourism in India.
The convention has scheduled a number of relevant sessions including a seminar on good field practices-adventure operations and environmental issues, running the perfect adventure trip, choosing the right adventure gear, marketing adventure tourism which will help upgrade the knowledge and skills of those who are related to the industry.
The prime focus of the convention is to create widespread awareness about the multi-dimensional face of the Indian tourism sector. It seeks to promote India as one of the most exciting adventure tourism destinations in the world and intends focusing on the innumerable adventure and eco-tourism opportunities in the country.
