Puducherry, Dec 17 (UNI) In a bid to sort out the difference of opinion among the Congress leaders in Puducherry, AICC observer K B Krishnamurty held discussions with Ministers and party functionaries in the presence of PCC President P Shanmugham here today.

Addressing the party cadres at the PCC office, Mr Shanmugham cautioned them that the party had to ''beg'' the alliance partners for a seat, if the party men did not stand united.

He said there was no unity among party members in Tamil Nadu after the Kamaraj era, which resulted in the party losing power in the state.

The functionaries and others rushing to the Press for each and every problem would only create confusion in the party, he said.

Mr Shanmugham advised the Ministers to concentrate on their 'departments' and complain either to him or the Chief Minister in case of any problem.

Maintaining that he would remain neutral while processing the complaints, Mr Shanmugham called upon the party cadres and functionaries not to get instigated by ''power-hungry people''.

Later, Mr Krishnamurty held a closed door meeting with the Ministers, Legislators and party functionaries, in which Mr Rangasamy also participated.
