57 Myanmar nationals arrested at international border
Jaisalmer, Dec 17 (UNI) Fifty-seven Myanmar nationals, including six women and five children, were arrested at the border with Pakistan today.
According to BSF sources, a BSF petrol reported the presence of a large group of people, suspected to be illegal immigrants, hiding in the Anupgarh area, close to the international border. The border security personnel identified the group and on questioning found that they were Myanmar nationals illegally staying in the country.
The BSF said the arrested people disclosed that they had been living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh and crossed into India through a middleman with the promise of a job, but he deserted them after leaving them at the international border with Paksitan.
