Woman constable's body found hanging in Leh

Srinagar, Dec 16 (UNI) The body of a woman constable was found hanging from a tree in Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

The body of constable Chuneet Wangmo was found hanging from a tree at Manglay Bagh in Skara area of Leh district under mysterious circumstances, they added.

The constable was attached with the fourth battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) from the past one month. She was later further attached with the a police post at Leh housing colony with effect from December 1 this year.

Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard to ascertain the cause of death while the body has been sent for post-mortem.
