Law & Order situation in Kerala better : Patil

Thrissur, Dec 16 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today said the law and order situation in Kerala was better, compared to other states in the country.

Speaking to reporters at Guruvayoor in this district, he said steps would be initiated to modernise the State police force after assessing the prevailing situation.

Earlier, the Minister visited the Guruvayoor Lord Krishna temple.

Yesterday, Mr Patil and Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan held a closed-door discussion with police authorities on the modernisation of the State police at Pathanamthitta.
