India Post to set up PG Managerial Centre

Mysore, Dec 16 (UNI) India Posts is planning to establish a Post Graduate Managerial Centre at Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Director General of Posts I M G Khan said today.

Talking to newspersons after laying the foundation stone for the Rs one crore Technology Developmental Centre at the Mysore Postal Training Centre here, Mr Khan said the P G Centre would offer course for top Postal Department officials in India and from abroad in association with the Indian Institute of Management, It would also offer Post Graduate Course in Postal Services to foreign students, he added.

India Post would be providing personalised postal service and improved hitech currency exchange service of international standards.

Mr Khan expressed confidence the India Post would provide good service by implementing new software in the coming days.

Complementing the Mysore Postal Training Centre, which was one of the best in the country, he said many more projects would be executed in order to train postal service personnel.

More funds would be allocated to various pending projects to help the department compete with private courier services.
