Shimla, Dec 16 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh BJP today denied any irregularities in the recruitment in the state during its earlier tenure, saying the names of the candidates released by the Congress yesterday were ''concerted and misleading.'' Addressing mediapersons here, party's candidate from Shimla constituency and former state president Suresh Bhardwaj said no names were recommended by the then BJP chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal for jobs in government departments or in tests conducted by the HP Subordinate Services Selection Board at Hamirpur.

''If it was so, why did the Congress led state government did not order any CBI or vigilance enquiry into the matter in the four and half years of its term,'' he sought to know.

Mr Bhardwaj said the Congress released the list now to take political mileage during the last leg of the poll campaign.

Alleging the Chief Minister had already accepted the party's defeat in the elections, he said Mr Singh was raking up this issue to overshadow his own audio CD of ''shady deals''.

Terming the CPM ''a party who fights elections with managed votes'', he said, it had no role in Himachal politics as it had been exposed in the Nandigram and Singoor cases in West Bengal.
