Shimla, Dec 16 (UNI) The BJP today said that the Congress by questioning the functioning of Vivekanada Memorial Trust through media advertisements only showed that it had no election issue at hand.

Addressing mediapersons here, party's National general secretary and Himachal incharge Satyapal Jain said at the trust has two government nominees on the board of nine, which included the states health minister and the health secretary.

''For most part of the Congress term, Chief Minister was the health minister and was on the board of Vivekanada Memorial Trust,'' he said.

Mr Jain claimed that the trust conducted an annual audit, a copy of which was regularly sent to the government.

''In lat five years, the government has not raised a single objection,'' he added.

Responding to the disclosures in the hard disk that were made by Mr Singh yesterday, he said, it only showed the incompetence of the Congress Government.

''Being in power for five years, why the issues were not inquired into,'' he said.

On the occasion, the BJP leader released a signed letter by six BJP contesting candidates who had revolted against then BJP chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, stating that the Congress, bereft of election issues, was trying to rake up settled past issues.
