Ranchi, Dec 14 (UNI) Amid the BJP-led Opposition walkout, Jharkhand's second supplementary budget of about Rs 1473 crore for the present fiscal was passed by voice vote in the Assembly today.

The budget standing at about Rs 1473 crore was yesterday placed in the House by Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi.

Earlier, Mr Saryu Rai (BJP) proposed for a cut motion against the second supplementary budget, saying government would not be able to spend this huge amount.

Mr Rai said the government had passed the budget of about Rs 16,000 crore without making proper arrangements of income.

He said the government had already passed its first supplementary budget of about Rs 442 crore in the earlier session and now the amount was raised to about Rs 1473 crore.

Refuting the charges of Mr Rai, Mr Marandi said the demand in second supplemntary budget was based on requirement of the government.

Mr Marandi said about Rs 130 crore of the budget was allocated for the non-plan expenditure.

Dissatisfied with the reply the Opposition members, led by Leader of Opposition Arjun Munda, walked out from the House.

Other members, who participated in the debate, included Ramchandra Chabdravanshi of RJD, Radhakrishna Kishore of JD-U, Chatruram Mahto and Dinesh Sarangi (both BJP).
