New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Bright sunlight and a clear sky cheered Delhiites today, raising the maximum temperature to 21.6 degrees Celsius from yesterday's 19 degrees C.
The minimum temperature also rose to 9.2 degrees from yesterday's 7 degrees. The maximum temperature was two degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was one degree above normal.
Yesterday was the coldest December day in three years in the capital after the maximum temperature plummetted to 19 degrees.
After playing hide and seek for the last several days, the sun shone throughout the day after appearing in the early morning itself, raising the visibility levels to 1000 mt, the Met department said.
Dense fog had yesterday disrupted flight schedules for more than eight hours and caused inconvenience to hundreds of air passengers.
Weathermen forecast mist for tomorrow morning and a mainly clear sky. The minimum temperature will be around 6 degrees.
