Shajapur, MP, Dec 15 (UNI) BJP National General Secretary and MP Thawarchand Gehlot today said the party lost Khargone Lok Sabha and Sanver assembly by-elections in Madhya Pradesh due to problems of road and power.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Gehlot said he had spent four days in Sanver assembly segment during elections. His interaction with people revealed that residents were facing problems due to poor condition of roads and shortage of power.

He said he had informed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the party's central leadership about these problems from time to time.

Mr Gehlot said efforts would be made to analyse these issues and find a solution during the remaining tenure of the BJP.

He pointed out that the government had started several welfare schemes and people were being benefitted. The party will contest next assembly elections under Mr Chouhan's leadership.
