Kullu, Dec 15: Three ancient and rare stone idols have been stolen from a temple in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, police today said.
The rare ancident idols of Shiv Parvati were stolen from a temple in Jagat Sukh village, about 48 km from here, of the district a few days ago.
The police said the thieves took advantage of the fact that the temple had no door on the front side.
The idols, considered to be over 6,000 years old, were carved out of stones by the Pandavas during their long stay here after they were sent to oblivion (aqatwas).
