Chennai, Dec 14 (UNI) A Kuala Lumpur-bound Jet Airways flight, scheduled to leave here at 2330 hrs last night, was cancelled as the pilot failed to turn up.
Airport sources said the 124 passengers were given the boarding pass and the 16 crew members boarded the flight.
The authorities had to get the formal clearance from the pilot before allowing the passengers to board the aircraft.
The clearance was not received as the pilot did not report for duty.
Following this, the flight was cancelled and the passengers were accommodated in various hotels. They would leave for Kuala Lumpur tonight.
