Even a Judicial inquiry can also be instituted to reveal the persons behind the episode." "The police have committed many mistakes, first they have not registered complaint when the victim went to High Grounds police Station. Airport Police, before whom she had lodged a complaint of rape and wrongful confinement in a flat, should have booked case under article 376 and sent her for medical examination on December 11 itself that was not done, why and now police are telling that she left for Delhi on her own and from their she informed about her departure over telephone. If so who helped her to go to Delhi all of a sudden", she questioned.

Addressing a separate press conference, Commissioner of Police Neelam Achutharao, giving details of the incident as per the victim's Statement (name withheld) in FIR, she arrived on December five from Delhi at 2330 hrs and was waiting for a taxi when a black car came and asked she was looking for a taxi and when she sat and told him to take to Leela.

However, she was taken to a flat and confined in a room and after some time five to six friends of the driver forcibly injected drug and allegedly raped her. A case has been registered by Airport Police and she was sent for medical examination in Bowring Hospital as the victim said that she know the hospital and came for examination on December 12. But on December 13, when State Human Rights Commission members went to the hospital to record her statement, the victim had discharged herself and left for Delhi.

She informed the police from Delhi that she had reached the capital.

Her mother also assured to visit the city and cooperate with the police in the investigation, he added.

Moreover the car registration number given by the victim was of White Santro belonging to somebody and not Black car as she mentioned in her FIR.

He said that a through investigation has been taken up and if necessary a team of police officials would be sent to Delhi in this regard.
