'Retailer of the year' award to RIL

New Delhi, Dec 13: Reliance Industries Ltd has been felicitated with 'Retailer of the year' award at the Franchise Awards.

Reliance Fresh, a unit of Reliance Industries Ltd, was awarded with 'Food and Grocery Retailer of the year' award during the awards function held here last evening. Reliance Retail Ltd's Gurinder Kapoor was felicitated with 'Retail Professional of the year' award. Reliance Money Ltd was given the 'Debutant Franchisor of the year' award.

The Franchise Awards which was celebrated for the fifth time to honour excellence in franchising and business development.

The award function was organised by Franchise India Holdings Ltd, Asia's leading integrated franchise and retail solution provider.

The Franchise Awards promote and motivate franchising as a business format and add value to those businesses that enter the franchise system.

Above all, these awards set parameters for consistency in performances of the franchisors for the upcoming year. These awards have been acknowledged by franchisors, franchsees, suppliers to the franchisees and all other stakeholders in the franchising industry as an attempt to honour their contributions to the industry as a significant initiative for promoting franchising in the country.
