Mumbai in safe position, nearing first innings target

Visakhapatnam, Dec 13 (UNI) In reply to Karnataka's first innings score of 292, Mumbai were 267 for six at stumps on day two of the all India Under-22 C K Nayudu trophy semi-finals here today.

Karnataka were all out for 292, adding five runs to their overnight score of 287. Ryan Ninan scored 32 runs with four boundaries.

Mumbai bowlers Siddharata Chindis 3 for 59, Rohan Raje 3 for 58 and Balawindar Sandhu 2 for 67 emerged successful.

In reply, boosted by Anup Revankar's 48 (8X4, 1X6) Mumbai scored 267 in 84 overs.

Rayan Ninan and S L Akshay, bagging two wickets each, were the pick of the Karanataka bowlers.

In the other semi-final match, Maharastra scored a massive 594, adding 254 runs to their overnight score of 340.

Ganesh Gaekwad scored 210 with 27 boundaries while Nikhil Paratkar made 43 with seven fours and Sangram Attkar contributed 37 with six fours.

Delhi's Parvesh Chikara bagging 4 for 125 was the pick of bowlers.

Delhi were 12 for no loss at stumps on day two.
