Lakshmi to be discharged on Dec 15
Bangalore, Dec 13 (UNI) The two-year-old Bihar girl Lakshmi Tatma, who had undergone a major surgery to separate from her parasitic twin at a multi specialty hospital here about a month back, would be discharged on December 15.
Chief Surgeon Sharavan V Patil, who headed the surgeons team, told UNI that the girl had recovered well after the complex operation and was now ready to go home.
In a marathon 27-hour operation on November six and seven doctors had removed the extraneous limbs and restructured parts of her body.
Lakshmi, daughter of a couple belonging to remote Rampur village on Nepal-Bihar border, had arrived at the hospital on October three with eight limbs and torso of a parasitic twin fused to her pelvis.
