Jet announces daily direct flights to Kuwait, Bahrain

New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) Jet Airways today announced daily direct flights to Kuwait and Bahrain, from January 5, 2008, to become India's first private carrier to fly to the Gulf.

The airline will initially launch two daily direct flights on the Kochi-Kuwait-Kochi and Kochi-Bahrain-Kochi sectors.

It will also operate daily direct flights on the Mumbai-Bahrain-Mumbai and Delhi-Kuwait-Delhi sectors, Jet Airways CEO Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said in a statement.

''With a large number of Indians living and working in the Gulf, flights to these sectors consistently register high load factors,'' he said.

Jet Airways' flight 9W 574 (Kochi-Kuwait) will depart from Kochi International Airport at 1940 hrs and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 2220 hrs. Flight 9W 573 (Kuwait-Kochi) will depart from Kuwait International Airport at 1230 hrs and arrive at Kochi International Airport at 2020 hrs.

Flight 9W 594 (Kochi-Bahrain) will depart from Kochi International Airport at 1750 hrs and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 2000 hrs. Flight 9W 593 (Bahrain-Kochi) will depart from Bahrain International Airport at 0845 hrs and arrive at Kochi International Airport at 1610 hrs.

Flight 9W 572 (Delhi-Kuwait) will depart from Indira Gandhi International Airport at 0900 hrs and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 1100 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 571 (Kuwait-Delhi) will depart from Kuwait International Airport at 2350 hrs and arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 0630 hrs.

Flight 9W 592 (Mumbai-Bahrain) will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 0605 hrs and arrive at Bahrain at 0715 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 591 (Bahrain-Mumbai) will depart from Bahrain International Airport at 2130 hrs and arrive at Mumbai at 0350 hrs.
