New Delhi, Dec 13 (UNI) The winter chill abated slightly in the capital as the mercury rose to 9.7 degrees Celsius today accompanied with a thick fog.
The minimum temperature recorded at 9.7 degrees was two degrees above the normal, the Met department said.
The Delhiites woke up to a thick fog with low visibility of 100 at 0800 hrs, which later improved to 600 m.
The airport authorities said though the visibility was low, no flight delay took place, as CAT III system was put into force immediately and all flights were functioning as normal.
Meanwhile, the weatherman has forcast mist or fog for tomorrow morning, while the minimum temperature was likely to be around 9 degrees Celsius.
