Bhopal, Dec 13 (UNI) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) continued its spectacular performance in the ongoing seventh All-India Police Water Sports Championship at the Upper Lake here by remaining at top spot with a total nine gold medals, four of which were bagged today.
On the championship's fourth day, the Border Security Force (BSF) also claimed four golds and now stands at the second place with a total six golds, while Punjab Police (PP) is running third with four. PP bagged a gold today. Hosts Madhya Pradesh Police claimed a rowing gold and a canoeing bronze, while Tamil Nadu bagged a gold. A total of 26 golds, as many silvers and bronzes were at stake.
On the final day tomorrow, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will give awards. A total 18 teams -- including 286 sportspersons -- were taking part.
